The inception of The Scott Writing Style is simple. Helium Where Knowledge Rules and The Pulitzer Center use Internet writing, The Scott Writing Style is patterned after these resources. This Internet based writing style has the purpose of including informative articles with real researched, valid, and reliable information that gives credit to the original author.
Publication Integrity: Credits, Sources, References, & Citations
- Within the Article Citations
- For Any Type of Citation: (Author’s last name, Year of Publication) at the end of the sentence before the period. For multiple authors: If more than three, First Author and “et al”.
- For example: Crisis reporting is a part of independent and free press (Scott, 2009).
- If the URL has no Author: (Article’s Name or URL’s Name, Year of Publication) at the end of the sentence before the period.
- For example: Canonization is an Ancient Custom, science and faith work together to examine miracles (Is The Late Pope John Paul II A Beati: The Tradition of Veneration/Canonization, 2009).
- At the Beginning of a sentence: Author’s Name (Year of Publication),-For multiple authors: If more than three, First Author and “et al”.
